BOO!beloobie paintings coming soon.....a little preview!

So I've finally decided to do a painting range to represent every single BOO!beloobie I make.

I started making mock-up sketches of the range of paintings, and thought I'd share 2 of them with you.  It doesn't have any colour yet, but when it's done, I'll come and show them off to you again!

There are 2 pictures, one of Ribbon the Rabbit and the other of Orli the Owl!

Let me know what you think?  The pieces will mostly be done in watercolour....and I'm thinking of doing some art prints to be sold on Etsy!

My latest Baby Shower entertainment!

Hope 2012 has been treating everybody kindly....I sometimes still feel a little fragile, I must admit.  I just kept on receiving orders straight thru 2011 and leaping into 2012.  And don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, just need another holiday again....but I'm sure all of us do!

One of my items that's been very popular has been my baby mobiles, and I've started making a version of the mobile that still needs some assembly, and some buttons sewn on the little animals.

 It's specifically made for entertainment at a baby shower/stork tea, as well as an additional gift for the mommy to be and her baby.

I adore this product, it's such fun to make, because every mobile is customised to the clients specifications, colours, animals, the whole tootie!  The package comes with buttons that needs to be sewn on the animals tummies, needles, thread, and instructions on what needs to be done.  I also include some extra jewellery rings for easy attachment, as the main rings are already sewn into place on the mobile as well as the toys.

And it gives the girls at the shower something they can participate in and feel as if they've contributed to the day.

My BOO!beloobies are featured in the Ideas Magazine!

I was very pleasantly surprised to see my BOO!beloobie toys, and some background about their creative birth being featured in the Ideas Magazine, a wonderful magazine in South Africa, coming out in Afrikaans and English, with the most gorgeous decor, diy, homey ideas ever!

This being my first physical publication of my little critters, I'm as proud as a new mom seeing her little baby for the first time.  And that is exactly how it was for me.....my range came about from the birth of my son.....whom I adore so much that I couldn't see myself going back to a desk job, and not see him grow up!

I love you Wiantjie, you're mommy's wild little angel........wouldn't change a thing!

2012 has already been busy - Some new Baby mobile projects to show!

So, 2012 started off with a bang, or should I rather say, 2011 never stopped?

I hope you all have just been receiving blessings as I've been!  It's been busy, especially on the baby front.....and no.....it's not me having a baby...everybody else it seems is!

I've started making my own unique Baby mobile, and mobile kits for entertainment at Baby showers, and it's a huge hit.  So much so, that it's the only thing I'm making at the moment!  I've been sketching a lot of new ideas for new BOO!beloobies, but none have even started to see the light of day as yet, because of all the new babes coming in the next couple of months!  Congratulations to all you lovely ladies on the upcoming births of your sons and daughters....I know it's been the most memorable thing to happen to me in my lifetime!

Hope to see you guys more often in 2012!  Let's talk........let's brainstorm......let's get creative together!
