Just a quick update!

I'm vigorously at work for the upcoming market I'm doing...and some nice and big orders that I've received from the lovely shop in Graaff Reinet in the Eastern Cape called the Windmill Junction.....so having said that, I'll be giving you guys quick updates on how I'm doing, as my time is extremely limited.....hope I'll be able to do all the things that needs to be done.

Today I'm sharing Ribbon the Rabbit.  She was my first original BOO!beloobie, she started everything.  I love her, she's very understated, but I think she's a show stopper!

You guys have already seen her watercolour version, so let me know what you think of her in the flesh!

I'll be updating you guys again later in the week, hope it's a wonderfully fulfilling one for all of us!

And may we all find some superhuman strenght to get us through times like these, and some extra hours in the days!

Fibi the Fox is the star of the 3rd painting!

For the third painting in the BOO!beloobie range I chose to do Fibi the Fox, she's a popular favourite of the range.....and the painting came out perfectly!

My little boy, which this range is amptly named after his one nickname, joined in the fun when I was taking the pictures, he always tries to insert some kind of toys, or himself into the frame....not shy of the camera at all....so that is why there is such a random photo of him in here!

But he's so cute, he just fits in anywhere!

Well, I'll be doing some more painting over the weekend, with some toys I have to start and finish, so I'll be talking to you guys again soon!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Tinker the Tinman found his heart!

My latest little BOO!beloobie is a fellow called Tinker the Tinman.

He's been on a quest to find his missing heart, and finally, after a long time of looking, found it in the most unlikeliest of places.....right where it should have been all along......

Tinker is part of the Robot family of the BOO!beloobies, and there's still a whole heap of friends to come!

Tomorrow I'll share my next painting, so hope you all have a great day!

.......and here's the Second one!

My BOO!beloobie range of paintings are coming along swimmingly!  Here's the second one done and dusted of Ribbon the Rabbit!

I do know which one will be next, but let's keep that as a surprise, shall we?

See you again with the next painting!

The first one is done!

So, the first BOO!beloobie painting is done for heART in the Garden and the Afrikaans Culture Festival that will be taking place from the 21st to the 25th of March in Krugersdorp.

It's of the very sassy Holly the Hedgehog, and she will be accompanied by loads of other little critters from the family, so watch this space!

Well, let's keep in touch, see you guys again later in the week.  I will be unveiling some new monsters and robots in the coming weeks to come, so something to look forward to!

What's a Whatsit?

I decided to make a new little addition to the BOO!beloobie family, but I don’t quite know what it is, so I called it a Whatsit.

Here’s a little bit of how the creation of a BOO!beloobie starts.  First with an idea, then a picture which turns into a pattern, and then finally turns into the parts on some beautiful fabric.

I finally do all the sewing under the watchful, and sometimes quite meddling little eyes of my son, easier said than done, and voila….a new critter is born.

And this time, we have a little bit of a story behind it….

What is a Whatsit?  What is it to you?  Is it a critter or is it a who?  Come along and I’ll give you a clue!
Is it a monkey or is it a bear?  I don’t know, maybe you’d like to share…..your thoughts and your feelings on what it might be?  Come along everyone…..let’s wait and see.
Is a Whatsit big, or is a Whatsit small…is a Whatsit frumpy or is it tall?
I think I might know, I think I might guess…here’s my conclusion, I do confess.
It might be cute with a heart that’s true, so follow me and I’ll show it to you.
A Whatsit is true, your best friend, and you’ll see………
A Whatsit is whatever you want it to be!

Well….that gives you an idea of what a Whatsit is in my manic mind!

Have a great weekend everyone, see you next week!

I know, I know....but I'm not done yet.....

I know I promised the finished paintings of the BOO!beloobies, but alas, I'm not done yet.  So I thought I'd share another idea for a range I want to start.  I love typewriters, the title still a work in progress.....

Any suggestions for a better title anyone?  Your comments are welcome!  I think I'm going to make some blackboard painting combo's of this too.....well, let's wait and see how it's going to turn out!

Hope you all enjoy the week immensely, see you again soon!
