I just adore little Manic the Monkey, and decided to start using him in some drawings.
He reminds me of a knitted blue monkey I had as a little girl. This little Monkey had unbelievably long arms and legs, specifically knitted like that by my Mom so that I could carry the little critter on my back by means of curling it's arms around my neck, and knotting it's legs around my waist.
I miss that Monkey, I'm 36 years old, and I miss him. I have such fond memories....and unfortunately in the course of my lifetime he went missing.
So I decided it's time to make my own version, and he will be coming out in many versions of himself....he will be illustrated, and hopefully my little blue monkey will live on in Manic's adventures!
Untill next time then!

I've been bitten by the Illustration bug!
Yes, I've been bitten, and I hope to keep this going all year long.
I've finally found my voice, and my own unique way of drawing....it takes time and patience for it to develop...but when you finally can see it for yourself, you just want to keep going.....so I will!
Will be doing colour versions of all my illustrations shortly, and will be sharing it! I will also be looking into doing art prints of the respective watercolour originals, so I'll post details of that soon!

And so it begins...
Slowly but surely this year has come....taking me more time than usual to get everything together.
I think it might be because we have loads to do this year...so rather take it slow in the beginning....and warm up to bigger and better things!
Well, one of my first projects is some new Woodland BOO!beloobie prints that I'll be doing in Watercolours.
Here is a sneak peek at the designs so long, I'll be posting pictures of the finished paintings as soon as they are done, and I hope to get in touch more often this year!
