Monkey-ing around!

I just adore little Manic the Monkey, and decided to start using him in some drawings.

He reminds me of a knitted blue monkey I had as a little girl.  This little Monkey had unbelievably long arms and legs, specifically knitted like that by my Mom so that I could carry the little critter on my back by means of curling it's arms around my neck, and knotting it's legs around my waist.

I miss that Monkey, I'm 36 years old, and I miss him.  I have such fond memories....and unfortunately in the course of my lifetime he went missing.

So I decided it's time to make my own version, and he will be coming out in many versions of himself....he will be illustrated, and hopefully my little blue monkey will live on in Manic's adventures!

Untill next time then!

xoxo
