Bungie the Bunny, bunting and a new mobile!

Bungie the Bunny was born out of a desire to make a special new mobile for a new baby girl being born to one of my close customers.

My client wanted a unique Mobile and some bunting that would complement the bedding she custom ordered from Babes in the Wood, and this is what I came up with!

I just adore Bungie, and she is available on Etsy and at Eau-la-la, and soon to be at Vamp and Mount Camdeboo!

My little Superhero turned 4!

My son's 4th Birthday Party was amazing!  It was a Superhero theme, very fitting for my little Superman!

The Cake was by Hearts Delight

I made all the decor, toys and capes myself, and there was loads of sweets, and goodie bags to enjoy!

This little guy is a BOO!beloobie Superboy, especially designed for my boy's party!

And this is the backside of the adorable Superboy!

The kids finally settling down to eat!

Blowing out the candles is sooo much fun!

It was all I ever could have wanted for my little boy, will have to top this party next year!

The April Issue of the Ideas/Idees Magazine and a little something extra...

I was very lucky to get an e-mail from the Editor of the Ideas Magazine, Terena...asking my input about being part of the Etsy community, and other lovely South African Online shopping experiences!

It's a priviledge and honour, because this was the first time since I've started with MIE Art & Crafts, and all the BOO!beloobies that the softies took a back seat, and somebody asked my opinion about what I do and how I do it....and my first featured photo!

I sometimes forget that I started the BOO!beloobies, it sometimes feels as if they started me....my true identity finally came out when I decided to start doing what I love, so in certain instances it is correct to say that the
BOO!beloobies started me!

I've gotten loads of experience in what I'm doing over the last couple of years, I've become more independent, I've enjoyed spending so much time with my little boy, and the BOO!beloobies have given me the Freedom to do that.

So thanks little BOO!beloobies!

And just as another little update, here's the latest version of the adorable Reu the Robot!

He's on his way to Glenwood in Durban,
South Africa...unfortunately it's just taking ages with the ongoing strike of the South African Postal Service...but that's a post for another day!

Owen's Bunting!

I was asked to make some festive Birthday Bunting for a lovely little boy turning 1.

Little Owen had his Birthday Party, with a Square block theme and stars, and everything just looked adorable.

His mommy was kind enough to send me some pictures of the bunting at the venue, and I'm so loving how it turned out!

Now I'm smitten with bunting.....and making it is such fun!

It goes very deep...

My wonderful Dad is gone.....I still can't believe it, I can't just get in my car an drive to go and see his beautiful face....I can't hold his hand anymore...can't hug his big teddy bear body.

It's the most pain I've ever had to endure, but it's rightly so....he was an amazing man...his life reached people far and wide, young and old.

He's going to be missed by each and every one of us, for the rest of our lives.....until we meet again Poeksie, I love you.....Wiantjie loves you.....Poeksie is my hero, daddy fought so bravely....and will always be the biggest and best male figure I've ever known....

Lilliput is so creamy!

My latest Lilliput is very dreamy, and creamy!

 

She's made of super soft Fox fleece, and poly-cotton, and is available for sale on Etsy!

 

So what's next? I'm working on a Sloth, a Leemur, lots of Monsters.....and maybe a Penquin is also in the works!

So we'll just have to wait and see!

Bucky the Beaver makes his long awaited return!

Bucky the Beaver was one of my first toys....he's a peculiar little fellow, with some serious buck teeth!

I've updated his look a bit, and the first of his family members are off to Bisous Lifestyle Store in Secunda, Mpumalanga, South Africa.

What do you think of him?  I love his tail, and he's now available for sale on Etsy!

And hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more buck teeth friends coming soon!
